Folks around here say that there’s nothing better than camping with a four-legged pal. Here are some tips and questions to ask yourself to make the adventure fun for all.
Does the area you are traveling allow pets? National Parks largely allow pets but make sure to check against local regulations.

Pack out your pet’s poop or toss it in the nearest trash can.

Where is your pet going to sleep?
Does your dog have a sleeping bag or a bed?
Is your tent big enough for an additional four legs?
Protect your pet’s paws. If your dog is anything like mine, she has sensitive paws. Watch out for:
Hot pavement or concrete
Burrs, and goat heads
Ice and snow
Glass and other sharp debris
Ticks and other bugs that bite and bother your pet while spreading disease.
